After the first round, the Belgians had already taken the lead. Saturday Olivier Philippaerts continued on track with the BWP approved stallion Armstrong vd Kapel (Quasimodo Z x Farn). They stuck to one mistake. Judy-Ann Melchior and Gregory Wathelet jumped a clear round. The British ended for the Netherlands, the defending champions in second place. Cortes C (Randel Z x Darco, b. Bart Clement) and Cylana vd Ruitershoeve (Skippy II x Darco, b. Daniel and Dirk D'Haese) became fourth with American team.

Although there were still more BWP's in Barcelona. The consolation of the team competition was won by Qatar with Gunder (Thunder vd Zuuthoeve x Randel Z, b. Godfried Storme) in their ranks. Flora de Mariposa (For Pleasure x PowerLight, b. Herman de Brabander), AD Living the Dream (ex Fideel van't Prinseveld, Toulon x Flamenco de Semilly, b. Leon Smets) and Fedor (Kashmir from Schuttershof x Orkaan, b . Koen De Bruyne) ended with the French, Brazilian and Australian team to a second place.

Darmani van't Heike (Grandeur x Voltaire, b. Karel Boonen) and Nicolas Delmotte became third in a 1m45. They stayed just befor Heliodor Hybris (Diamant de Semilly x Cannonball, b. Ruben Redde) and Laura Renwick. Both duos would meet the rest of the week on their heels. A day later Heliodor was good enough for second place. Darmani was third in the same test. A day later, they ended up in the same sequence at position 3 and 4. Sunday Heliodor was again good enough for second place. This time it was Gangster de Longchamps (Orlando x Sheyenne de Baugy, b. Mr. & Mrs. Michel Rigo) who finished 4th.

Heliodor Hybris has the same mother as Concretop Conquest. The first bred by Ruben Redde who already kicked up at 1m60 level.

In the 1m50-trial Saturday we recorded a second place for Daniel Deusser and First Class Van Eeckelghem (Balou du Rouet x Feinschnitt I Adjuster, b. Pierre Floru).
