BWP mare Hannah wins the Longines Grand Prix of Lummen
The Longines Grand Prix of Lummen (Longines Spring Classic of Flanders) was won by the BWP mare Hannah (Dulf van den Bisschop x Kashmir van Schuttershof) , ridden by Steve Guerdat. Hannah was born as Happy D’Houtem in the stables of Paul Coppens in Sint-Lievens-Houtem. Steve Guerdat has been riding the mare for only a few months; before, she stood in Mexico, where she was ridden by Mariano Maggi. As a 5-year-old, the horse has been ridden by the Dutch rider Rob de Bruyn. Only 5 combinations reached the jump-off; among them Qadillac du Heup, a full sister to the BWP approved stallion Pommeau du Heup. Steve Guerdat and Hannah cleared the jump-off without faults in the fastest time. Isi D’Houtem, her one year younger brother by Elvis Ter Putte, has been exported to Germany and participated in S-classes under the saddle of Josch Löhden. At the moment, Isi D’Houtem is ridden in Italy by Emmanuele Carnicelli.
