The Portuguese Luciana Diniz was the best in the GP of Basel (CSI5 *). She rode Fit For Fun (v. For Pleasure). With five they jumped the jump-off, also Zanotelli stayed clear with Extra van Essene. The pair drove to a time of 29.88 seconds, while Diniz did it in 29.20 seconds, so good for a second place. Extra van Essene is a son of Diamond Semilly X Gotthardsen and was bred by Carlos De Cock. Scot Brash was third with Hello Sanctos (f. Quasimodo vd Molendreef), fourth place went to Gregory Wathelet & Conrad de Hus (f. Con Air).
Espyrante & Winningmood vd Arenberg ensured BWP victories in Basel. Espyrante did that in a 1.55-test ridden by Daniel Deusser.
